Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is handled by the Deprem+ iPhone, Apple Watch, and widget experiences and why it is used.
Information we collect or process
Location
With your permission, precise or approximate location may be processed to show nearby earthquakes, calculate distance, deliver alerts that match your preferences, and prepare your location on the emergency screen. Approximate location may be sent to our service when registering for alerts.
Device and notification information
To deliver push notifications, we may process an APNs device token, platform, app environment, locale, alert thresholds, and an anonymous device identifier. The anonymous identifier is used for rate limiting, misuse prevention, and reducing duplicate records.
Community and sensor information
An “I Felt It” report may include the selected shaking level, approximate location, time, and anonymous device information. When sensor features are enabled, technical measurements derived from motion signals may be submitted to help assess an event. These signals are not, by themselves, official earthquake detection or early warning.
Emergency information
If you use an emergency feature, the selected assistance type and location may be processed when a supporting service is configured. If unavailable, the app only opens the device’s phone interface.
How we use information
- Provide core app functionality;
- show nearby earthquake records and distances;
- deliver notifications based on your preferences;
- combine community reports and prevent misuse;
- maintain security, reliability, and troubleshoot errors.
Tracking and advertising
Deprem+ does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell your information or use it for behavioral advertising.
Service providers and sources
Deprem+ may use Supabase for infrastructure, database, and server functions, and Apple Push Notification service for alert delivery. Earthquake records may come from third-party seismic data providers. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. We use reasonable safeguards such as access controls, rate limiting, and secure transmission. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely risk-free.
Your choices and rights
You can disable location, motion, and notification access at any time in device settings. Deleting the app removes preferences stored locally on your device. You may request access to or deletion of server-side anonymous data, although anonymization can make it impossible to associate a specific record with your device.
Children’s privacy
Deprem+ does not knowingly collect names, contact details, or account information from children. Contact us if you believe a child’s personal information has been processed unintentionally.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or applicable requirements change. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
